Stephen Bluestein is a Vice President in BVPÕs New York office. He works with Bob Goodman, focusing on opportunities in software, communications, and healthcare IT. He serves on the board of Ziff Davis Enterprise and is closely involved with the firmÕs investments in GTS Central Europe, Syncsort, and Netsmart Technologies.

Prior to BVP, Stephen was an Associate with Citigroup's Technology Investment Banking group specializing in the semiconductor and storage industry. While at Citigroup, he advised M-Systems on their acquisition by Sandisk, Jabil on its acquisition of Taiwan Green Point, and SMART Modular on its follow-on offering. Previously, he was a Senior Associate consultant for Mars and Company, a strategy consulting firm, advising clients in the beverage, automotive and CPG industries. Stephen started his career at IBMÕs silicon germanium research and development group.

Stephen holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering, summa cum laude, from Tufts; an MS in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford; and an MBA with a major in Entrepreneurship and Finance from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. During his MBA, he wrote a prize-winning business plan for NanoCore, a nanotechnology company, and interned for Lux Research. Stephen has published several papers in science and engineering journals, including that of the Materials Research Society and IEEE.
