Tech Finance

Julie is a senior banking and corporate finance professional with extensive transactional experience gained over 15 years at major international banks and Fortune 50 telecommunications companies. She has focused primarily in the media, technology, telecom and entertainment sectors.

She has spearheaded activities such as Sprint's $3 billion acquisition of Centel, a regional wire-line and wireless telecommunications company. At Verizon she served as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions and Director of International Treasury and was responsible for managing Verizon's subsidiaries in Europe and Asia.

During her 10 years in the banking industry Julie worked extensively on financing transactions in Mexico and Latin America developing an expertise in cross-border financing. Notable transactions include: i) a $110 million multi-currency facility supported by an A/B Loan provided by the multi-lateral agency, CAF, for the construction of a network for a new long distance licensee in Colombia; ii) an EXIM supported $250 million project finance for a long distance competitor in Mexico; and iii) a $2.5 billion advisory mandate for a fixed-wire-line competitor in Brazil.

Prior to joining TechFinance, Julie was the Head of the Telecom, Media and Entertainment group at ANZ Investment Bank where she was engaged in corporate lending activities targeting global media and telecommunications companies.

Julie holds a B.A. in Economics from Washington University and an MBA in finance from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
