IBM launched the Global Entrepreneurship Program and SmartCamps to give back to the community, foster Innovation and new companies. Working with our partners around the world we believe entrepreneurship is important for economic growth, which benefits everyone. This is not about IBM, it's about helping those partners build communities in the hottest technology hubs around the world.
SmartCamp is an exclusive global event bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and experienced mentors who want to build a Smarter Planet. SmartCamp provides selected startups access to world-class advisors plus a direct route to seed and venture capital.
The winner of SmartCamp New York will take part in a three-month mentorship with IBM. And the winner will be invited to attend the SmartCamp World Finals where one business will be named the "IBM Global Entrepreneur of the Year".
5 Finalists will be selected for a one-day event (June 28) to network with 25 world-class entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts.
The New York winner will be selected from the pitch finale June 29th.
